Ancient Toroni was an important city in the 5th-4th century BC — it is mentioned by Thucydides as a member of the Halkidiki Confederacy. The underwater remains (temple columns, sections of walls) are visible from snorkeling in shallow waters. ## The Beach Today Sandy, approximately 2 km long, with a shallow seabed. Partially organized with sunbeds in some areas, free in others. The waters are clear — rarely crowded compared to other parts of Sithonia. Ideal for: - Swimming and relaxation - Snorkeling (ancient remains in the shallow waters) - Visiting the acropolis (15 minutes uphill from the beach) ## What to Do Besides the Beach **Acropolis of Toroni**: Remains of an ancient fortress, panoramic view of the Aegean. 15 minutes uphill from the beach.
