## Description

Achlada Beach is located in Sithonia, named after the pear tree that once grew in the area. It is a small local beach mostly known to the locals.

The shore is sandy with pebbles, relatively short, and features shallow waters close to the beach. There is free access without any facilities. A canteen is rare.

The waters are reasonably clean due to the relatively low foot traffic. For swimming: safe with shallow waters, suitable for children. For snorkeling: moderate opportunities at the rocky edges.

Clientele: local families, Thessalonians with summer houses nearby. Almost no foreign tourists. Rarely overcrowded.

Access: via provincial roads. Parking is irregular along the edges of the beach.

Bring plenty of water, snacks, towels, and sunscreen due to limited infrastructure. Shade can be found under trees at the back or you can bring an umbrella.

For a complete experience, combine with a visit to nearby villages. Best enjoyed as part of a larger exploration of Sithonia rather than as a standalone destination.

Achlada is ideal for those looking to avoid the mass scene and enjoy one of those "secret" spots known only to the locals. Best time to visit: June-September.
