## Description

The Drenia (or Drena) are a group of small islands off the coast of Ammouliani, in northeastern Halkidiki. They are among the most impressive destinations in the area, featuring crystal-clear waters and secluded beaches accessible only by boat.

The group consists of 4-5 uninhabited islets, with sandy coves and rocky formations. The waters are some of the clearest in Northern Greece — typically with a visibility of over 12 meters.

Access: only by boat from Ammouliani or Ouranoupoli. Small boats and speedboats depart daily during the summer months. Cost of the boat trip: 20-35 euros per person, lasting 4-6 hours with 2-3 stops for swimming.

For snorkeling, it is one of the top spots in Halkidiki. You can find bream, grouper, octopuses, and rich marine life along the rocky edges of the islands.

On the largest island, there is a small tavern/canteen that operates during the summer months — serving fresh fish, local dishes, and drinks. A great spot for lunch after swimming.

Visitor profile: guests on boat trips, couples, families. Not a mass tourism spot due to the relative difficulty of access.

What to bring: sunscreen SPF 50, a hat, snorkeling gear if you prefer your own. Shade on the islands is minimal.
