It features fine white sand, a shallow seabed, and turquoise waters. Located in southern Sithonia, between Syki and Porto Koufo, it is 145 km from Thessaloniki (about 2 hours and 20 minutes by car). The beach has two sections. The main beach is partially organized with sunbeds and a beach bar, sandy, and has received a Blue Flag in most years. Next to it, the "small beach" Kryfto is quieter, free, and ideal for those seeking their own space. At the southern end of the beach, there are rocky formations and small hidden coves — excellent for snorkeling. Visibility in the clear waters exceeds 8-10 meters in good conditions. In contrast to the more crowded beaches of Sithonia (Sarti, Neos Marmaras), Kalamitsi offers a more relaxed atmosphere. The clientele includes couples looking for tranquility, families, and snorkeling enthusiasts. It rarely feels overly crowded even in August. In the small village 1 km from the beach, there are 4-5 traditional fish tavernas serving fresh fish from local boats. Prices are moderate (30-50 euros for a table for 2). A good choice for a meal after swimming. The wider area has few small accommodations — no large hotels. It's a great option for those wanting an "untouched" experience of Sithonia away from the mass tourism scene. A car is essential.
