## Description

Kavouri Beach is located in the southwestern part of Kassandra, named after the crabs that are traditionally found along its rocky edges. It is a small, secluded cove, less known to foreign tourists.

The shoreline is sandy with pebbles, about 250 meters long, and features a shallow seabed. Almost entirely undeveloped — there is minimal organization on the busiest days, but generally, it's a place where you need to bring your own supplies.

The unique feature of Kavouri is its rocky edges, which are rich in marine life. For snorkeling, it is one of the best spots in Kassandra — clear waters, bream, salema, and of course, the namesake crabs in the rocky depths. Bring your own snorkeling gear.

Its seclusion means it rarely gets crowded — even in August. The clientele includes local fishermen (in the morning), groups familiar with the area, and snorkeling enthusiasts. A great choice if you want to escape the mass scene.

For swimming: safe, with shallow waters close to the shore. It gets deeper after 15-20 meters. Kids are fine, but caution is needed due to the rocky edges (water shoes are recommended).

Bring plenty of water, towels, and sunscreen. There is no shade except for a few bushy trees. Access: via a dirt road from a nearby village — slow driving is recommended.

Parking is available at the ends of the beach on uneven ground. Best period: June-September.
