## Description

Kryopigi Beach is located in southern Kassandra, between Palouri and Kallithea. It is one of the most family-friendly and quiet beaches in Kassandra, without the crowded scene of Hanioti or Kallithea. It is 115 km (about 1 hour and 40 minutes drive) from Thessaloniki.

The coastline is sandy, with a shallow bottom, stretching approximately 2 kilometers. It has a Blue Flag most years. The major advantage: a pine forest that reaches almost to the sea, providing natural shade, a rare feature among the beaches of Halkidiki.

Partially organized with sunbeds and 2-3 beach bars in the center, but a large part remains free — ideal for those who want to lay their own towel under the pines. There are kiosks in the free areas for drinks and snacks.

The name "Kryopigi" means "cold spring" — referring to the underground waters that bubble up on the slopes of the area. In certain spots along the beach, the waters are actually cooler than elsewhere — due to these springs.

For families with small children, it is one of the best choices in Kassandra: shallow waters, shade from the pines, a calm atmosphere, and parking nearby. Clientele: many Greek families, elderly couples, and a few foreign tourists.

Water sports are available in the central area — but fewer than in Hanioti/Kallithea. Kayaking, SUP, jet skiing.

In close proximity: Palouri 5 km southeast, Agia Paraskevi Loutra 8 km east (thermal baths). Free parking available everywhere.
