## Description

Likithos Beach is located in Sithonia, in a small secluded spot. It gets its name from its geographical shape — "likithos" in ancient times referred to a vessel, and the shape of the cove may resemble one. It is one of the lesser-known beaches in the area.

The shore is sandy with pebbles in places, relatively short, with shallow waters close to the beach. It is free and not officially organized. A canteen is rare.

The waters are clear. For snorkeling: moderate opportunities mainly at the rocky edges. You can find sea bream, wrasses, and octopuses.

For swimming: safe with shallow waters near the shore. Kids: fine with caution around the rocky corners.

Clientele: locals and groups who know the area. Rarely overly crowded.

Access: via provincial roads. Some sections are unpaved. Parking is irregular at the edges of the beach.

Bring plenty of water, snacks, towels, sunscreen, and water shoes. Shade: minimal — you might want to bring an umbrella or find some in the rocky corners.

For a complete experience, combine your visit with a meal in nearby villages. Best time: June-September, with September being ideal for tranquility.
