It is located 60 km (about 50 minutes by car) from Thessaloniki — one of the closest major beaches to the city. The beach is long and sandy, with shallow waters. It has been awarded the Blue Flag in most years. Fully organized with sunbeds, beach bars, and pedestrian walkways along the front. Nea Moudania is a regular urban center with around 10,000 permanent residents — not just a tourist village. It has full infrastructure: banks, a hospital, clinics, schools, shopping centers, and supermarkets. The combined experience of "beach + city life" is unique. After swimming, you can shop at modern retail stores, dine at reputable restaurants, or enjoy the nightlife at the beachfront bars. For families: ideal. The beach is safe with shallow waters, services nearby, and medical coverage available. In Nea Moudania, you will also find Waterland — one of the largest water parks in Northern Greece. A full-day activity. Entrance is 25-30 euros for adults. From Nea Moudania, you can easily explore all of Halkidiki. It serves as a good "base" for short vacations or as a stopover.
