It is located 72 km (about 1 hour drive) from Thessaloniki, just south of Nea Moudania. The beach is sandy with a shallow bottom, approximately 2 kilometers long. It has been awarded the Blue Flag in most years. It is partially organized — the central areas near the two villages have sunbeds and beach bars, but there are also free sections, especially between the two villages. It is one of the most "Greek" beaches in Kassandra — the clientele mainly consists of locals and Thessalonians, with fewer foreign tourists. This is reflected in the prices: generally lower in restaurants and beach bars compared to Kallithea/Hanioti. The history of both villages, with their roots in Asia Minor (refugees from 1922 from Plagia in Asia Minor and Flogita respectively), is kept alive — there are some traditional festivals, fish taverns serving Asia Minor recipes, and refugee architecture in the old centers of the villages. For swimming: safe with shallow waters. For snorkeling: moderate experience — the coast is mainly sandy with not many rocky spots. Nearby areas for day trips: Nea Moudania (5 km northwest, Waterland, shopping centers), Nea Potidea (3 km south, canal), Sani (25 km south). The infrastructure is decent — supermarkets, ATMs, pharmacies, and an emergency medical center. Free parking is available everywhere.
