It is one of the less touristically developed beaches in Sithonia, with significant historical interest. It is 135 km (about 2 hours and 10 minutes by car) from Thessaloniki. It is close to Porto Koufo (8 km to the south) and Kalamitsi (12 km to the east). The coastline is sandy with pebbles in some areas, stretching approximately 2 km, with a shallow seabed. It is partially organized with sunbeds in certain spots, but mainly free. Clientele: those who avoid crowded beaches, lovers of history/archaeology. The unique feature of Toroni is that it contains underwater remains of the ancient city. Ancient columns of a temple can be seen while snorkeling in shallow waters, and some sections of the wall in deeper areas. Above the beach rises the rocky acropolis with remnants of the ancient fortress — a short climb for a panoramic view. It is particularly interesting for snorkeling — not only for the marine life but for the unique experience of seeing ancient ruins underwater. Bring a mask or rent one from a nearby spot. In the small village of Toroni, there are 2-3 traditional fish taverns and a few small accommodations. It is not a typical tourist destination — the atmosphere is quite "authentic."
