October gently closes the season. The first weeks still offer **warm days and a swimmable sea**, while the atmosphere is calm and nostalgic. It is an ideal month for quiet escapes, autumn nature and food experiences.

- The sea stays warm, about **21-22°C**, especially in the first two weeks.
- Towards the end of the month the weather cools and rain becomes more frequent.

## What to Do
It is the season of the **olive harvest**, with the famous Halkidiki green olive and fresh olive oil at centre stage. Hiking in the autumn Holomontas forests and strolls through stone villages such as Arnea are delightful, while the last swims on the quiet beaches of [Sithonia](https://chalkidikihub.gr/guide/sithonia) and Kassandra round off the summer perfectly.
