Agios Pavlos is a lowland farming village in the Kallikrateia municipal unit of Nea Propontida. It sits on the Thessaloniki – Nea Moudania national road, at about kilometre 35, some 5 km north of Nea Kallikratia. It is not on the sea; the coast is a few kilometres away.

Until 1940 it was called Metochi Agiou Pavlou. The village has a Byzantine church of Saint Tryphon, the patron saint of vineyards — fitting for a place that lives mainly from wine.
Agios Pavlos is surrounded by vineyards, and viticulture, together with the packaging of farm produce, is the main occupation. In August the village holds a festival with local dishes and wines of the area.
The nearest beaches are at Nea Kallikratia (about 3.5 km) and Mykoniatika (about 5 km) — sandy and shallow, with organised sections.
Close by are Nea Kallikratia (about 3 km as the crow flies), Nea Gonia and Nea Iraklia (about 4 km).
Anyone interested in wine who wants a quiet base on the road from Thessaloniki, with the sea a few minutes away.
