As an island, Ammouliani has a completely different rhythm: quiet, relaxed, with a fishing tradition and a view of Mount Athos. It's ideal for those wanting to escape the mainland crowds.
It's famous for its exotic shores: Alykes, Kalopigado, Porto Agio and Tsaska have white sand and deep-blue, shallow water. Opposite lie the Drenia islets, reachable by boat.
In the harbour's fish tavernas you'll enjoy ultra-fresh fish and seafood — one of the island's strong points.
The island is served by a regular ferry from Tripiti (the crossing takes a few minutes). Tripiti is about 2 hours by car from Thessaloniki.
Ideal for couples and families wanting an island atmosphere and excellent beaches near Thessaloniki. Main season is May–September.
