Although built inland, the closest shores — Agios Mamas and Psakoudia — are a few kilometres away, making a daily trip to the sea easy.
It's about 1 hour by car from Thessaloniki. Very close by are ancient Olynthos, Gerakini and Ormylia with its historic Monastery of the Annunciation.
Ideal for those wanting authentic countryside and quiet, with the sea and archaeology close by. Worth visiting year-round.
