Metamorfosi is a quiet village at the entrance to Sithonia, built near the sea just before Nikiti. It's a relaxed, family base for exploring the eastern coast of the second leg, without the crowds of the big resorts.
Without the intensity of the big destinations, Metamorfosi offers calm and easy access to some of Sithonia's most beautiful beaches. It's ideal for those wanting a quieter-paced holiday while staying close to all the amenities of neighbouring Nikiti (~5 km).
Very close by are the large beaches of the Nikiti area, such as Agios Ioannis, Kastri and Elaionas, with crystal-clear water and pines that reach the shore.
In the village and around it you'll find traditional tavernas with fish and local dishes, at a calm, unpretentious pace — with all of Nikiti's entertainment options a few minutes away.
It's about 1.5 hours by car from Thessaloniki. Its position at the entrance to Sithonia makes it a convenient starting point for Nikiti, Agios Nikolaos, Ormos Panagias and Vourvourou.
