Nea Fokaia is a picturesque seaside village on the eastern coast of Kassandra, with a lively fishing harbour. It was founded by refugees from Foça (Fokaia) in Asia Minor in 1922, a heritage still alive in its culture and cuisine.

The village's landmark is the Byzantine Tower of Agios Pavlos by the harbour — a medieval monastic fortress (metochi) that gives Nea Fokaia a special historical flavour.
The picturesque little harbour with its fishing boats is the heart of the village. Nearby are beautiful shores such as Varkes, Kavouri and Afytos beach.
In the harbour's fish tavernas you'll enjoy ultra-fresh fish and seafood, while the cafés and bars offer relaxed evenings with a sea view.
It's about 1.5 hours by car from Thessaloniki. Very close are traditional Afytos, Kallithea and Nea Potidaia.
Ideal for families and couples wanting a picturesque fishing village with history, good food and easy access. Main season is May–September.
