Psakoudia beach is long, sandy and organised, with shallow water and pines reaching almost to the shore, offering natural shade even in the hottest hours. It's ideal for families with children, with loungers, beach bars and calm water. Psakoudia offers an organised beach without the excessive crowds of the big resorts on the legs — a balance between amenities and calm that makes it popular for restful holidays and weekends. It's about 1 hour by car from Thessaloniki. Very close by are Ormylia (~4 km, with its well-known Monastery of the Annunciation), Gerakini (~6 km) and Kalyves Polygyrou, while ancient Olynthos makes an interesting archaeological excursion.
