With a long fishing tradition, Pyrgadikia keeps a genuine fishing-village character: boats in the small harbour, nets drying in the sun and a calm pace of life lost in the more touristy destinations. Its position offers a beautiful view over the gulf and magical sunsets.
Nearby are quiet, clear shores such as Kampos beach, Salonikios, Elaionas and Schoinia — with fewer people and a more natural landscape than the popular resorts of eastern Sithonia.
