<p><strong>Stagira</strong> is a mountain village in north-eastern Halkidiki, known worldwide as <strong>the birthplace of Aristotle</strong>. It rarely combines philosophical heritage with a beautiful mountain landscape near the sea.</p>
<h3>In the footsteps of Aristotle</h3><p>Near the village lies the archaeological site of <strong>Ancient Stagira</strong>, the city where the great philosopher was born in 384 BC. In modern Stagira is also <strong>Aristotle's Park</strong>, with his statue and interactive physics instruments that bring his teaching to life.</p>
<h3>Nature and character</h3><p>Built on a slope overlooking the Strymonic Gulf, Stagira keeps an authentic mountain character with stone houses and a cool climate.</p>
<h3>Beaches nearby</h3><p>The sea isn't far: the shores of <strong>Stratoni</strong> and beautiful <strong>Olympiada</strong> are a few kilometres away.</p>
