From Tripiti departs the regular ferry to Ammouliani, the only inhabited island of Halkidiki, as well as boats to the exotic Drenia islets. This makes it a convenient base for exploring.
The shores around Tripiti are quiet, with clear water and a view toward Ammouliani and Mount Athos in the distance.
In the tavernas by the little harbour you'll enjoy fresh fish and seafood, at a relaxed, unpretentious pace.
It's about 2 hours by car from Thessaloniki. Very close are Nea Roda, Ierissos and Ouranoupoli.
