Pirgos takes its name from the tower of Ouranoupoli, the 14th-century Byzantine tower that dominates the waterfront, and it stands very close to it. The cooking is Greek and Mediterranean, with fish, seafood and grilled meat, and it also works as a café-bar. Prices are affordable.

The Ouranoupoli and Develiki beaches are about 200 metres away, so you can eat after a swim without the car. Late afternoon, when the tower catches the setting sun, is the nicest time to sit here.
