Halkidiki, especially Sithonia, is one of northern Greece's top snorkelling destinations. The water is particularly clear (15-25m visibility on most days), the coastline has many small bays with rocky bottoms hosting marine life, and most beaches are accessible without a boat. You don't need equipment beyond a mask and snorkel — buy them at any supermarket for €15-25. This list collects beaches with the best snorkelling spots.

Best visibility: September-October (up to 25m). Summer 15-20m due to algae. Best water temperature: August-September (25-26°C). Best time of day: Morning 8-11 before wind stirs the water. Avoid: After a storm — turbidity stays for 24-48h.
Sithonia overall — see all Sithonia beaches. Specifically: Diaporos, Karydi, Fava, Limanaki (Blue Lagoon).
