Sano is a very small settlement in the interior of Halkidiki, likely known only to a few locals and visitors to the wider area. It should not be confused with Sani — the famous seaside resort of western Kassandra — which is a completely different place. Sano is a small agricultural settlement with a minimal population and no tourist infrastructure.

If you are looking for traditional mountain villages in Halkidiki with some infrastructure, there are much better options:
- Parthenon (Sithonia): traditional mountain village with tavernas and panoramic views
