Kalamitsi is a small coastal village in southern Sithonia, located between Sykiá and Porto Koufo. With around 200 permanent residents, it is one of the most tranquil and "untouched" spots in Sithonia. It retains the character of a small fishing village with a relaxed tourist scene and is ideal for those looking to avoid the mass crowds of Neos Marmaras and Sarti.
Location and How to Get There
In southern Sithonia, 7 km south of Sykiá and 12 km northeast of Porto Koufo. From Thessaloniki, it is 145 kilometers (2 hours 20 minutes drive). From Neos Marmaras: 35 km. From Sarti: 22 km.

The Beach
The Kalamitsi Beach is one of the most impressive in southern Sithonia. It features fine white sand, a shallow seabed, and turquoise waters. It has a Blue Flag most years.
It consists of two sections: the main beach with partial organization (sunbeds, beach bar), and the small beach (Kryfto) further north — quieter, free, ideal for those wanting their own space.
At the southern end of the beach, there are rocky formations and small hidden coves — excellent for snorkeling.
Nearby beaches:
- Spathies: 5 km southwest — wild cove with a dirt road
- Porto Koufo: 12 km south — sheltered bay
- Kavourotripes: 18 km northwest — the most impressive in Sithonia
- Sykiá (Linara): 7 km north

- Traditional cooked dishes
Prices are moderate: 30-50 euros for a table for 2.

Kalamitsi has limited infrastructure — a few small accommodations, rentals, and 1-2 small hotels:

- Apartments: 80-130 in normal, 130-200 in peak
