Metamorfosi is Sithonia's "warm-up": the first seaside village you meet entering the peninsula from the west, with ~800 permanent residents, a long sandy beach backed by pines and a reliably family-oriented Greek crowd. Founded in the 1920s by refugees, it grew as a quiet resort — a character it keeps to this day.
Beach and sea
Metamorfosi's beach stretches in front of and south of the village: sand, shallow calm water and a pine forest reaching close to the waterline — one of the few naturally shaded spots at Sithonia's western entrance. Organized patches front the village and the campsite, free space at the ends.
Within 10 minutes begin northern Sithonia's heavyweights: Kastri (8 km) and Mikro Kastri, Agios Ioannis (8.6 km) and Nikiti's beach (6.5 km). All options: beaches near Metamorfosi.

- Snorkeling (3.2 km): The rocky spots towards Nikiti offer some of Sithonia's easiest "first snorkels".
