Klimataria Beach

Klimataria is the main organized beach of Sykia bay in southern Sithonia — the "swim" of the village of the same name, which sits 1.5 km inland.

The shore is sandy, with a shallow bottom and calm water inside the big sheltered bay. Organized but laid-back: sunbeds, a beach bar and tavernas a towel's throw away, parking next to the sand and access friendly to wheelchairs too.

It is the favourite of those who want everything in one place: swim, food and coffee without moving — and one of southern Sithonia's most family-friendly corners.

Smaller coves hide around the bay for exploring, while further south begins the wild coast towards Kalamitsi (Kristina, Tigania, Prassou).

Best period: June-September. In August arrive before 11:00 for a front-row sunbed — or spread out on the free sections at the ends.
