Ormylia is one of the largest towns of mainland Halkidiki, built inland near the Toronaios Gulf. It combines an authentic, rural character with easy access to the sea.

The Monastery of Ormylia

In the area is the well-known Holy Convent of the Annunciation (Ormylia Monastery), a dependency of Simonopetra on Mount Athos, famous also for its icon-conservation workshop. It's an important religious and cultural attraction.

Although built slightly inland, Ormylia is very close to the popular Psakoudia beach (~5 km), with an organised shore and shallow water.
