Elaiona Beach

Eleonas beach lies on northeastern Sithonia, on the coast between Agios Nikolaos (3.6 km) and Pyrgadikia — the name betraying the olive groves descending almost to the sea.

The shore is sandy, of moderate length, with a shallow bottom and calm water on the sheltered Singitic side.

It is partly organized in the summer months — sunbeds and a beach bar along one section — while the ends stay free, with a green backdrop and a relaxed crowd.

It works ideally as a midway stop on the Ormos Panagias-Pyrgadikia drive, or as the quieter alternative to Trani Ammouda when the latter fills.

Best period: June-September. Mornings the water is usually glass — the best time for a long swim.
