Latura Beach

Latoura is the small sandy beach beside Ormos Panagias (800 m) in northeastern Sithonia — close enough to walk from the harbour, yet almost always quiet.

The shore is sandy with patches of pebble, short in length, with calm shallow water on the sheltered Singitic coast.

It operates free, with no facilities — its crowd is those who know the area and those wanting a dip before or after fish at Ormos.

The combination is its strength: swim here, eat at Ormos Panagias' fish tavernas (300 m off the water), and optionally catch the morning Mount Athos cruise from the same little harbour.

Best time: morning or early evening; bring an umbrella — there is no natural shade.
