Livari Beach is located in the area of Vourvourou, in northeastern Sithonia. It is smaller and quieter than the neighboring famous Karidi, but equally stunning in water beauty.
It is 117 km from Thessaloniki (1 hour 50 minutes by car). It is 3 km from Karidi, a short distance for those looking for an alternative option in the same area.
The beach is sandy, of medium length (~600 meters), with a shallow bottom and turquoise waters. There is less organization compared to Karidi — a few sunbeds and a beach bar in the center, but much of it is free. A pine forest at the back provides shade.
The major advantage of Livari over Karidi: clearly less crowding, even in August. If you are looking for the "Vourvourou experience" (white sand, turquoise waters, shallow bottom) without the queues and congestion of Karidi, Livari is the ideal choice.
For swimming: safe shallow waters. For snorkeling: exceptionally clear waters, rocky edges with bream and octopuses.
From Livari, you can easily visit: Karidi, Vourvourou beach, and Diaporos. The entire area has infrastructure for boat trips to the Diaporos islands.
For a variety of accommodation and dining options, the base is Vourvourou or the nearby Agios Nikolaos (5 km to the west).
Parking near the beach — it fills up during peak hours but is generally easy to find.
The beach is located in Παραλία Λιβάρι, Σιθωνία, Sithonia, Halkidiki.
