Lagoon Beach is located on the eastern side of Sithonia, 7 km south of Sarti. It gets its name from the cape of the same name that forms the bay of the beach. It is 140 km from Thessaloniki (2 hours 15 minutes drive).
The coastline is sandy with small pebbles in some areas, of moderate length (~800 meters), with a shallow seabed in some spots and deeper in others. It is partially organized with sunbeds and a beach bar in the center, while the edges are free.
The unique feature of Lagoon Beach is its geography: the cape protects the beach from northern winds, so even on days when the wider coast of eastern Sithonia has waves, the waters here remain calm. This makes it ideal for swimming when neighboring areas are choppy.
For swimming: decent and generally safe waters. For snorkeling: the rocky edges towards the cape offer clear waters and rich marine life — bream, octopuses, and salema.
It is less crowded than the large beach of Sarti. Clientele: those seeking tranquility but wanting to stay close to Sarti as a base, families with small children due to the calm waters.
In the neighborhood, there are a few small accommodations. More upscale lodging, dining, and services are available in Sarti (7 km north).
The wider area is ideal for exploratory trips: from Lagoon Beach, you can reach the Kavourotrypes (15 km south), Porto Koufo (22 km south), and Sykia (12 km south).
Free parking is available at the edges. 4G coverage is satisfactory.
The beach is located in Παραλία Λαγονήσι, Σιθωνία, Sithonia, Halkidiki.
