Pyrgos beach lies in northeastern Sithonia, between Ormos Panagias (1.8 km) and Agios Nikolaos. The name keeps the memory of a Byzantine watchtower in the area.
The shore is sandy with patches of pebble, short in length, with calm shallow water — the typical picture of the sheltered Singitic coast.
Free and quiet: its crowd is mostly people who know the area, even in mid-August. Bring an umbrella and supplies.
It combines easily with Trani Ammouda (bigger sand, 5 minutes) and fish at Ormos Panagias after the swim.
Best period: June-September, with September offering the calmest days. Water shoes help at the rocky edges — which are, not coincidentally, also the best spots for a mask.
The beach is located in Παραλία Πύργου, Σιθωνία, Sithonia, Halkidiki.
Tower Beach is a sandy, free/unorganized beach.
Tower Beach is a free beach without sunbeds. Bring your own umbrella!
