Galini Beach

Galini beach lies in northeastern Sithonia, about 2.5 km from Ormos Panagias, on the quiet shore of the Singitic gulf.

The name ("serenity") says it all: a small sandy beach with calm, shallow water, sheltered from the north winds — ideal for a relaxed, waveless swim.

It is essentially free, with no permanent facilities. Crowds are thin even at peak — mostly guests of the nearby accommodation.

It pairs naturally with Trani Ammouda and Ormos Panagias (fish tavernas, Mount Athos cruises) — all within 5 minutes. Bring an umbrella; shade is minimal.

Best time: morning for glassy water, or early evening before fish at Ormos Panagias. With children it is among the area's most restful choices — shallow, calm, waveless and quiet. In September you have it entirely to yourself.
