Packing Tips

Local Quirks

The peninsula of Sithonia is known for being 1-2°C cooler than Kassandra, thanks to its denser cover of pine forests which provide a natural cooling effect. The Vardaris, a strong north wind, can bring sudden cool spells even during the peak summer month of July. This unique weather pattern is a refreshing change and adds to the charm of visiting Halkidiki.
