Banana Beach

Banana Beach is a sandy beach in Sithonia named "Banana" — a name found at several beaches in Greece, usually referring to the banana-shaped coastline or the trendy culture. In Sithonia, it refers to the characteristics of the coast.

The beach is sandy, of moderate length, with shallow waters. It is partially organized with sunbeds and a beach bar in some areas, while other parts are free. A pine forest at the back provides shade in certain spots.

The atmosphere is quite "young" and relaxed — a beach bar with music, cocktails, and a lively vibe during peak weekends in August. It’s not as intense as Goa Beach but feels newer compared to traditional beaches.

Clientele: mixed — young people, couples, groups of friends. Not ideal for families with small children seeking tranquility.

For swimming: safe shallow waters. For snorkeling: moderate opportunities mainly at the rocky edges.

For water sports or rentals (SUP, kayak), check if they are available at the beach bar.

Access via a provincial road. Free parking at the edges but can fill up during peak times. Best period: July-August for a full atmosphere, June/September for a more relaxed experience.
