Lagomandra Beach is one of the most beautiful spots on the western side of Sithonia. It is located 2 km south of Neos Marmaras, featuring a 2-kilometer sandy shore with a pine forest that nearly reaches the sea. It is 125 km away from Thessaloniki (about a 2-hour drive). It has received a Blue Flag for most years.
The sand is fine and golden, and the water is shallow for 20-30 meters. The waters are a clear turquoise. The beach is partially organized with sunbeds and beach bars in the center, but a large part remains free, especially at the edges where the pines provide shade.
Compared to the neighboring central beach of Neos Marmaras (which is more crowded and located within the village), Lagomandra offers a more relaxed and "natural" atmosphere. The clientele includes families, couples, and some Thessaloniki residents with summer homes nearby.
At Lagomandra, you will also find the eponymous camping area, as well as a few small accommodations. There are kiosks and beach bars for drinks and snacks.
For swimming: ideal for children due to the shallow waters. For snorkeling: moderate opportunities — the rocky edges to the south are the best spots.
From Lagomandra, you can easily visit: the traditional mountain village of Parthenonas (7 km east, perfect for sunset and dinner), the marina of Neos Marmaras (2 km north), and the Porto Carras resort (4 km south).
Parking is free at the edges of the beach. Best period: June-September.
The beach is located in Παραλία Λαγομάνδρα, Σιθωνία, Sithonia, Halkidiki.
