Kalogria beach lies on western Sithonia, between Nikiti and Elia (4 km) — one of this coast's best-known "local" sands.
The name ("the nun's") ties to the area's monastic past — dependencies of Athonite monasteries once worked this land.
The shore is sandy with a few pebbles at the edges, with shallow, clean water and a gentle slope — comfortable for families. It operates mostly free, with a seasonal canteen and a few umbrellas in sections.
It faces west: stay in the late afternoon for the sunset over the Toroneos — one of the Nikiti-Elia coast's good "secrets".
Best period: June-September. Informal parking near the shore; August weekends fill up with Thessalonians.
The beach is located in Ακτή Καλογριάς, Σιθωνία, Sithonia, Halkidiki.
Kalogria Beach is a free/unorganized beach.
Kalogria Beach is a free beach without sunbeds. Bring your own umbrella!
Kalogria Beach beach has a rating of 3.5/5.
