Toroni beach is at the south-western tip of Sithonia, in front of the village of the same name, and it's one of the longest sandy beaches on the peninsula, over a kilometre long. It has sand with pebbles in places, a shallow seabed and a Blue Flag.
It's mostly free, with a few sunbeds in some spots, and because of its size it never feels crowded. At the southern end rises the small Lekythos peninsula, with remains of ancient Torone's acropolis and a later Byzantine fort; the short climb is worth it for the view of the open sea.
The beach faces west, so it gets sun until sunset. The village has a few tavernas and small guesthouses, and the atmosphere stays calm. Porto Koufo, the largest natural harbour in Greece with its fish tavernas, is about three kilometres away, while Tristinika and Destinika beaches are even closer if you want somewhere more secluded.
The beach is located in Παραλία Τορώνης, Σιθωνία, Sithonia, Halkidiki.
