Nea Gonia is a seaside village on Halkidiki's mainland coast, next to Nea Moudania and very close to Thessaloniki, at the entrance to Kassandra. It has refugee roots and offers calm, family accommodation beside the city.

The nearby beaches (Plagia-Flogita, Nea Moudania) are sandy with shallow water, organised and suitable for children. The village also keeps a wine-growing character, with local wine.
