The church of Agios Antonios (Saint Anthony) stands at the northern edge of Sarti, about 400 metres from Achlada beach. It's a small church close to the sea, one of the spots many visitors combine with a walk along the shore, especially early in the morning or towards dusk, when the heat eases and Mount Athos across the water stands out more clearly.
If you go inside, remember that it's an active place of worship: dress modestly, with shoulders and knees covered, and keep your voice down, especially if a service is under way. Photos inside are best taken discreetly and without flash.
A visit takes only a few minutes and there's no entrance fee. You can pair it with a swim at Achlada, one of Sarti's quieter beaches, or carry on on foot to the village centre for a coffee.
The Church of Agios Antonios activity takes place in Sarti, Sithonia, Halkidiki.
