Trypiti Beach is the coastal point of the small port of Trypiti, located in northeastern Halkidiki, 3 km south of Ouranoupoli. This is where ferries to Ammouliani depart — every 30-45 minutes during the summer months.
The beach is sandy, of moderate length, with a shallow seabed. It is partially organized with sunbeds and several seaside fish tavernas. A pine forest at the back provides natural shade.
Trypiti serves a dual purpose: it is a practical transport hub (ferry to Ammouliani) and a lovely beach. Many visitors use it as a starting point for the island, while some stay there for the entire day.
The waters are reasonably clean. For swimming: safe shallow waters, great for children.
For those staying in Trypiti: you can combine a beach day with excursions to Ammouliani — take the ferry in the morning and return in the afternoon. The fish tavernas along the waterfront are quite good for seafood.
From Trypiti, a short drive away: Ouranoupoli (3 km), Dragoudeli (5 km), Komitsa (2 km).
Free parking is available at the edges — but it can fill up with ferry passengers. Best period: June-September.
