Limanaki

Limanaki is a small free beach on Ammouliani, the only inhabited island in Halkidiki, less than a kilometre from the village. It's one of the beaches closest to the harbour, so it suits anyone visiting the island for a few hours or without a car.

There are no facilities, so bring an umbrella and water. The water is clear and calm, as on most of the island's shores, which are sheltered from the open Singitic Gulf.

Ammouliani is small and its beaches are close together: Kalopigado and Porto Agio are about a kilometre and a half away, while Alykes, Agios Georgios and Megali Ammos, on the south side, are a few minutes by car or bike. To reach the island, take the ferry from Trypiti, a crossing of a few minutes. For food, the fish tavernas at Ammouliani harbour are the closest and most classic choice.
