Wet Dream Beach

Wet Dream Beach is a small sandy beach about 400 metres outside Nea Roda, on the isthmus of the Athos peninsula. It's named after the beach bar that operates there and made it known, and it's one of the closest organised options for anyone staying in the village.

The shore is mostly sand, with some pebbles in places, and the water is shallow and usually calm, suitable for families with children. The beach bar section has sunbeds, coffee and drinks, while a little further along you can spread your own towel. The atmosphere is relaxed, without the bustle of the big resorts.

You can walk here from Nea Roda. Voulitsa beach is less than a kilometre away, Trypiti — where the ferry to Ammouliani leaves — about two, and the long sandy beach of Ierissos around four. For fish, the tavernas by Nea Roda's little harbour are the easiest choice.
