Kampoudi / Akrachos

Kampoudi (also known as Akrathos, after the hotel of the same name) is the wide bay 2-3 km before Ouranoupoli, on the Athos coast road.

The shore is sandy with patches of pebble, of moderate length, with clean water and views towards Ammouliani and the Drenia islets.

Its character is mixed: organized sections with sunbeds front the hotels, while the ends stay free for towels — outside visitors welcome on the public foreshore.

It is a practical stop for anyone moving along the Ierissos-Ouranoupoli axis: easy parking, calm water, and Ouranoupoli with its tower and cruises 5 minutes away.

Best period: June-September; in the late afternoon the island view is its strong card.
