Katergopetra Beach is one of the most well-known nudist beaches in Kassandra. It is located on the southern side of the peninsula, in relative seclusion. Clientele: those who practice the nudist tradition and visitors who respect the culture of the beach.
The shore is sandy with pebbles in places, about 400 meters long, with a shallow bottom. Almost entirely free — no organization, no beach bar. A cantina is rare.
Greek legislation does not officially recognize nudist beaches, but there has been long-standing tolerance at certain secluded beaches like this one. Respecting local rules is crucial — do not visit if you do not participate in the tradition.
The waters are clear due to the relative seclusion. For those interested in snorkeling, the rocky edges offer decent opportunities.
Access: via provincial and dirt roads. A compact car can manage slowly. Parking is irregular.
Bring along: plenty of water, snacks, a towel, sunscreen, and a hat. There is no shade except what you can find among the rocky edges or by bringing your own umbrella.
Photography note: taking photos of others without explicit consent is generally not accepted. At nudist beaches, this is even more important for protecting the privacy of visitors.
Best period: June-September, with peak in August.
