Elani Beach is located in southeastern Kassandra, near the eponymous hotel complex. It is one of the lesser-known beaches in Kassandra — which means less crowding even in August.
It is 110 km (1 hour 35 minutes drive) from Thessaloniki, close to Pefkochori and Pallouri. The beach is sandy, with a shallow seabed, stretching approximately 800 meters. Pine trees at the back provide natural shade.
It is partially organized — the sunbeds mainly belong to the neighboring Elani Bay Resort, but a large part is free. There are kiosks for basic refreshments and snacks. It doesn’t have the vibrant "action" scene of Pefkochori or Hanioti — making it ideal for families or couples seeking tranquility.
For swimming: the seabed remains shallow for 20-30 meters, perfect for children. The waters are clear. For snorkeling, the edges have small rocky corners.
Nearby beaches if you want more options: Pefkochori (5 km north), Pallouri (4 km southeast), Hanioti (8 km north). A short drive allows you to explore beaches of different character depending on your mood.
The wider area has plenty of accommodation options — from budget studios to 4-5 star resorts. Free parking is available at the edges, with pine trees providing shade for the cars. Best time to visit: June-September.
The beach is located in Παραλία Ελάνη, Κασσάνδρα, Kassandra, Halkidiki.
