Liosi is a small sandy beach on the east coast of Kassandra, less than a kilometre from Afytos. It's about 400 metres long, with sand and a shallow seabed, and is known mainly to locals and Thessaloniki residents with summer houses in the area.
The beach is almost entirely free, with a few sunbeds in places; bring an umbrella and water, as facilities are limited. The water is safe for children, while for snorkelling there are only a few rocky corners at the ends. Even in August it stays quieter than the organised beaches of Kallithea and Hanioti.
The shore faces east, towards Sithonia, so it gets sun early in the morning, while in the afternoon the Afytos cliff casts shade in places. Moudounou beach is about 500 metres away and Varkes a kilometre and a half. For food, the tavernas around the square in Afytos are a few minutes' drive away, and a stroll through the traditional village is a good way to end the day.
The beach is located in Λιόση, Κασσάνδρα, Kassandra, Halkidiki.
