Moudounou Beach is located on the eastern Kassandra, one of the most local beaches in the area. The clientele consists almost exclusively of local families and Thessaloniki residents with summer homes nearby.
The beach is sandy, relatively short (~300 meters), with shallow waters. There is free access without any official organization. A kiosk may appear on the busiest days, but don't rely on it.
It is one of the quietest beaches in eastern Kassandra. You will rarely encounter foreign tourists — this is a "real" local beach, without tourist promotion.
For swimming: safe with shallow waters, suitable for children. For snorkeling: moderate experience, the coast is mostly sandy with few rocky areas.
Nearby areas if you want more options: Kallithea (10 km), Pefkochori (15 km), Afytos (12 km). All within a short drive.
Bring plenty of water, snacks, and towels — the limited infrastructure requires self-service. Shade is almost non-existent — bring an umbrella or sun tent if you want to stay all day.
Access: via a provincial road from a nearby village. Free parking but limited during peak hours. There is no mobile signal throughout the beach — some "dead" zones.
Best period: June-September, with peak in August when even this beach can have 30-40 people on a good day.
